Much Ado About Nothing

In class we are writing Children’s books.This may not be the final story but here’s what we have so far.One day,a  bored boy finds a box.He opens the box,and inside is the portal  to prehistoric times.Curious, the boy goes thru thre portal and explores the ancient jungle he finds.He stumbles upon a t -rex there and he screams,terrified of this awful beast.He starts running and the t-rex starts chasing him.Luckily for the boy,the older brother finds the box and goes thru it.He finds his brother and the dino.He starts talking wiht the dinosaur and asks him why he’s chasing his brother.The dino replys that he saw the boy run screaming and was just trying to ask him what he was doing and wether he wanted to be friends.In the end the dino,the boy and his brother all become fast friends and travel thru the portal often and the boy was never bored again.

In the final chapters of the pearl,Kino and Juana have a fight.Juana thinks the pearl is evil and trys to throw it into the sea.Kino finds out and is veary angry.On the way back to their hut,a person trys to take the pearl,but kino ends up killing him.Now, they must run from people who wish to take the pearl.they runn up into the mountains and are pusued.They end up killing the pusuers and throwing the pearl back iinto the sea.

Question 1

Kino had to pay dearly for the pearl.First off, he was harassed for a part of his great wealth,he also ended up distrusting everyone,even his own wife.Second,the villagers where ready to resort to more arcane methods of getting the pearl,one person tryed to kill Kino in the night,Kino ended up killing him instead.YThey also broke his canoe wich was a great insult in their culture,because a canoe is how you make your living .

I enjoy reading and writing alot.My favorit books to read are Fantasy books.I love the magic and magical cratures.

Some issues in the world i am interested in are:global warming,the war on terrorism and the Israeli-palistine conflicts.

My favoroit type of writing assignments are free writes,because it’s easier to let your ideas flow if you don’t need to worrie about spelling and puntuation.

I just read this article for english class.It’s about people who win the lottery and then end up with more financial strain then they started from.There are many reasons why this phenomenon happens,for example family wanting money for buisness or to help themselvs out of financial burden or dept.The lottery winner then fells like if they don’t give the family members the money the family will shun them or be angry at them.Then the buisnesses don’t give back any money and there is confilict anyway.Another reason is that the people who win smaller sums of money(like 1 million dollars) they think they’re rich and start to spend extravagently and before they know it they’re bankrupt.In conclusion,people say that power corrupts,the same can be said for winning the lottery.I think that the ssame sort of phenomenon will happen to Kino and his family with the pearl,because if you think about it,finding a giant pearl is alot like winning a lottery.
